The Perfect Oasis
If you ever find yourself in Siem Reap, I highly recommend staying at this nature-inspired resort. Surrounded by lush gardens, the beautiful pool is like a refreshing oasis. The staff's warm hospitality made me feel right at home. I had a relaxing spa treatment at the bamboo and thatched roof spa, and let me tell you, it was like being rejuvenated by the coolness of nature itself. The suite was spacious and had a private terrace to enjoy the natural light. And the best part? The resort is conveniently located within walking distance of Siem Reap's main tourist hub.

A Welcoming Retreat Amidst the Heat and Dust
Arriving at The Cockatoo, we were warmly greeted by Peter and Virgil, who provided us with refreshing towels and exotic welcome drinks. The compound exuded tranquility, with lush gardens and a beautiful pool area complete with a relaxing cabana. The rooms, though not large, were impeccably clean and tastefully furnished. We enjoyed a hearty and delicious breakfast each morning, lovingly prepared by Virgil. The staff was friendly and always available to cater to our needs, from arranging custom tours to providing helpful advice on local customs. Despite occasional power outages, the backup generator ensured uninterrupted AC and showers, and any noise was a small inconvenience compared to the alternative. The location was ideal, just minutes away from the city center, yet the resort felt like a peaceful oasis. I would highly recommend The Cockatoo Nature Resort & Spa for a serene and rejuvenating stay in Siem Reap.

I spent 4 nights at the Cockatoo. The location was perfect, tucked away from the noise of the city but still within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. The pool and garden area were beautiful, providing a serene retreat. Our room was clean, spacious, and had a lovely balcony with a nice view. I only wish we could have stayed longer!
I would recommend this hotel.
